The Two Pillars of Wealth Management:
Financial Planning and Investment Management
The two pillars of Wealth Management are Financial Planning and Investment Management. We believe they must be ongoing in tandem. Mike Martin, our founder, created this legacy in his “Retirement Talk” in 2016. Speaking of his founding the firm in 1987, Mike told the FAI staff:
“I knew what was needed was a firm that had both skills… financial planning & investing acumen. And not just securities analysis, but portfolio management… an understanding of diversification and a sense for how people’s emotional response to bull and bear markets can spoil their dreams... unless they have at their side a team of knowledgeable, disciplined and compassionate professionals. People who are as nice as they are smart! People like you!”
We are proud to carry on Mike’s Wealth Management legacy – Financial Planning and Investment Management, by knowledgeable, disciplined, and compassionate professionals.
Every client has unique desires. Our planning process puts you front and center with the FAI team with your FAI advisor as the Family Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Your Family CFO will create scenarios to test your plan against whatever hurdles you may face along the way.
Also, as Family CFO, your advisor can help coordinate meetings with outside professionals (e.g. attorneys, CPAs, insurance professionals, and others) as necessary to help complete your plan.
Remember as a fee only advisors we do not sell products, we provide thoughtful and timely advice based on your unique needs.
Please Note: Limitations. The scope of any financial planning and consulting services to be provided depends upon the terms of the engagement, and the specific requests and needs of the client. FAI does not serve as an attorney, accountant, or insurance agent. FAI does not prepare legal documents or tax returns, nor does it sell insurance products.
Mike Martin left T. Rowe Price with the commitment to bring Wall Street to Main Street. For over 30 years we have created diversified portfolios using publicly traded individual stocks, bonds, and funds. Based on our investment experience we developed FAI’s Ten Investment Principles to guide us in investing your savings.
Please Note: Limitations. Different types of investments involve varying degrees of risk. Therefore, it should not be assumed that future performance of any specific investment or investment strategy (including the investments and/or investment strategies recommended and/or undertaken by FAI, will be profitable, equal any historical performance level(s), or prove successful.
